Minor Surgery Nurse – Skin Cancer and Surgery

Our client seeks a Minor Surgery Nurse to provide holistic nurse-led treatment to patients with skin cancer, working with a dedicated team of professionals within the North Lincolnshire Dermatology service which operates from their Scunthorpe clinic.
The Minor Surgery Nurse will join a close-knit team of professionals to provide nursing expertise across the region, in the management of patients undergoing dermatology treatment as an outpatient, and delivering innovative community based healthcare for Dermatology patients referred by General Practitioners in East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
As an experienced Minor Surgery Nurse you will have experience of performing and leading minor skin surgery. Ideally you will have a deep knowledge of skin cancer.
36 Hours worked per week, over 4 days: The centre is open 8-5.30 Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays to meet the needs of patients, meaning that they can be flexible around when your hours are worked.
Qualifications & Experience required for the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Skin Cancer and Surgery:
• RGN or equivalent
• Recognised Skin Surgery Course
• Independent/supplementary nurse prescriber qualification or willing to undertake
• At least 2 years Dermatology experience in acute, primary care and/or community settings
• Experience running Dermatology clinics, phototherapy, leg ulcer clinics
